Today marks a significant milestone in my personal journey of self-discovery and empowerment. I am thrilled to announce that I have successfully completed the "My Body is My Body" course and earned my certificate!
Making the World a Safer Place for Children
Welcome to My Body is My Body (MBIMB) Safeguarding Children. MBIMB is an internationally acclaimed musical body safety program designed to protect children. This program is currently being used in over 60 countries worldwide and is available in 30 languages.
Why Somali Children Should Learn from This Program
I want Somali children to engage in programs like "My Body is My Body" for several important reasons:
-
Understanding Personal Safety: The program teaches children about their bodies and helps them recognize what is safe and unsafe. This knowledge is crucial in empowering them to protect themselves.
-
Building Confidence: By learning about consent and personal boundaries, children gain confidence in expressing their feelings and making choices about their own bodies.
-
Creating Awareness: The course raises awareness about potential dangers and equips children with the skills to recognize and respond to inappropriate behavior.
-
Promoting Mental Health: Educating children on body safety contributes to their overall mental well-being by fostering a sense of security and self-worth.
-
Encouraging Open Dialogue: Programs like this encourage children to talk openly about their feelings and experiences, creating a supportive environment where they feel safe to share.
I am passionate about ensuring that Somali children have access to essential safety education. By engaging with programs like "My Body is My Body," we can help create a safer world for them.
Thank you to everyone who supported me on this journey! Let's continue to advocate for the safety and well-being of our children!
